you really think so? maybe a larger sweet spot, but I think some of those balls hit in the CWS last year would have gone out if hit with wood. or else almost no one in the CWS could be classified as hits with power.

Watching the game against SLU really showed me how much more boring and different the game is than it was circa 2009. Now you barely hit the ball to the outfielder for a single, steal bases, and pray the defense makes errors... It's not even about hitting anymore

I agree and the LSU 6th inning was a prime example of this.

I have played the game most of my life and was a huge college baseball fan. Prior to the introduction of these new bats, I would try to checkout as many games as I could find. Now, I will only watch/attend LSU games. I think the lowering of the seams on the baseball will result in a little more production, but I think they will have to tweak the bats.
