LSU will be one of the few teams talented enough and able to control their own destiny in college football next year

No way. Alabama will be formidable for years to come.

They have to replace 8 starters on defense next year.

We won't lose to UNC. If we do, we have real problems.

My honest assessment of LSU's chances next year:

LSU will be better on both sides of the ball, although I still have some concerns about the lines, particularly the O-line.

Florida, Auburn and Arkansas on the road will be tough. Florida will not be as good; Arkansas and Auburn will improve. All three games are winnable; LSU should be favored against Arkansas and possibly Auburn.

I believe that Bama will drop off slightly on defense and will be a little better on offense with Ingram and Richardson carrying the ball and Julio another year older. In other words, they'll be tough again next year and will probably open the season as the favorites in the SEC. Unlike this year, however, they have a tougher schedule with an early home game against Penn State, the addition of Florida to their schedule, and road games at Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee and, of course, LSU. Auburn will be much improved IMHO, so the Iron Bowl will be a challenge to close out the season.

I like LSU's OOC schedule. With games against UNC and WVU will look good to voters and should help with the computers as well.

So, my prediction is that LSU CAN win it all next year and WILL win it all if they get better results from their linemen, they lose only one game, and they beat Bama in Baton Rouge, which I think is much more possible than people on here seem to think.
