Interviewing candidates

Can’t we just tell the media we are in the process of interviewing candidate X, instead of saying we are about to hire him? This way if things don’t work out, we can make it seem like we rejected him. Then everybody will think we got our #1 guy, instead of #3 or 4.

That’ll fool em. Why do some of you get so embarrassed over this? We hear other coaches interviewing at other schools who don’t end up being offered or accepting offers.

IT WAS AN NFL REPORTER THAT BROKE THE NEILSON STORY. IT OBVIOUSLY CAME FROM THE SAINTS NOT LSU.
