Agree but what, if anything, did Harris do to be in the doghouse?
One bad game? Tell Miles to STFU?
I mean Jennings was beyond awful.

I don't understand why people think he DID something. Harris began playing organized football in 2012. Now he's being asked to learn an NFL offense.

Until he does, you make do with what you have. Same reason Welter started while Beckwith made the transition from DE to learning the Mike position.

Exactly!! One shitty day....the rest of the time he came in he looked pretty good considering.

Not to mention the fact that Harris stomped a fking mudhole in AJ head-to-head at the spring game.

At a time when Saban was speaking semi candidly to the Gridiron Club members, he said that he had one QB who worked his tail off, at practice, studying film, busting his arse off to be a leader, but was only "average " physically. Then he said he had another ( Rohan but he mentioned no names ) who ran the streets, goofed off, was lazy

What year. Because Saban had Nall and incredible athlete, Booty, all we heard was could booty throw the ball out of the Tiger stadium. then Rohan, constantly reported over weight. Blame it on living with his grandmother for that.

It is one of hundreds of assessment tools, and hilariously overvalued because it is the only public one.

It does not discount the fact that Harris looked 1000 times better than AJ in that scrimmage. Look up the stats and see who had a better day!

So in one of hundreds of assessments, Harris looked 1000 times better than Jennings when running scripted plays in an environment where he could not be tackled.

Reason is because Jennings was so Terrible on the field in so many games that it made NO sense not to give Harris a shot even if limited.

Once the defense settled in some and we began playing keep away from other offenses, the team as a whole did fine. Were it not for a bullshite unsportsmanlike conduct call and injuries to Vadal and Porter, we could very well have run the table after Auburn.

I don't think Harris would have necessarily done worse, but do you honestly want your 180 lb QB who can't read blitzes to be your every down starter?

I think most of us were willing to pay those kind of dues so that the passing game would be improved next season.

Lost 5 games this season. I don't think people would have revolted had Harris played and made some mistakes.
