Consider the source, another Guilbeau gem but if this is the case, when the Board starts questioning Alleva, does not bode well for his long term
About Johnson extension not going through:
Asked why on Tuesday, Hischer said, “This has been forwarded to Joe Alleva. He should be responding today.”
Alleva, whose first hire as athletic director in the spring of 2008 was Johnson from the head coaching job at Stanford, did not respond.
Board of Supervisors member and athletic committee chairman Stanley Jacobs was reached Tuesday morning, but he referred questions about the Johnson extension removal to LSU president John Lombardi.

The line in the article was that it keeps them at 4 years remaining for "recruiting" purposes. Why not 5 years to account for redshirts? Or 6 for medical hardships?
Hopefully the BOS treated this like the legislature. Instead of making Alleva look like a dumbass and voting it down strongly, you just set it aside and watch it disappear.

Basically in the article they say they couldn't get it done in time for the meeting, when in reality they are saying we'll see if he gets an extension after this year
