Keyword "Probably" What has he [Lee] shown you that would lead you to believe w/o a shadow of doubt that he will be good?

Did you see the TD passes he threw at Auburn, USC and in the Bama game? Flat out beautiful passes, as good as ANY QB in the country could throw. Plus he had a SURE GAME WINNING TD pass dropped in the Bama game. Obviously the guy's had big problems this year, but to say he's done nothing at all to demonstrate potential is absolutely flat out wrong.

My thoughts

1) Even if JJ cannot get the ball downfield...perhaps he can turn a busted play into a positive (i.e. Terrel Pryor). Maybe he's not that good...we'll never know.

2) Even Flynn, a 5th-yr senior, struggled last year when he played games solo. RP provided a nice relief, made first downs, and even threw the ball some (unless he started...then threw it a lot). Not saying JJ is as good as RP, but at least you can bring him in on some design plays. Maybe it would spread out all that pressure that's being put on only JL's shoulders. Wow...it could possibly boost both of their confidence levels...what a concept.

3) JJ's redshirt has been burned already. Can't get it back. His plan for a medical redshirt will also probably get denied since he has been serving as the back up QB and even played in the Tulane game. Why not let him play some? Not even start...just play him some (5-10 plays...I think he can learn that many in a week).

Lee probably cost us but it's not like he out there missing everything. If you're the coach what do you do? You're wowed with some throws and know if he does that we win, then again he might throw the pic and he did.

I think JJ should have gotten some snaps end of the half begining of the 2nd but, I'm in the stands not on the sidelines.

I wish all the shite bags who think they are coaches would STFU in TS.

On the long pass CM dropped, I got one guy saying he should have thrown to Tolliver and one saying he should have run. What a bunch of douchebaggery.

Several thoughts on this:
a. he is a freshman, regardless of what we want to think about his playing time, and most freshmen tend to look great at times and terrible at other times, just part of maturity process
b. blame this more on the quarterack who got kicked off than the coaches
c. to me, the fact that Hatch beat him out in fall camp tends to show that the coaches knew he wasn't ready but
d. he is all we've got. Yeah, I know, Jefferson may be good, but the coaching staff is trying to win and you try with the best you have. I am sure that if the staff had known how this would play out Jefferson would have played more early but we can't undo those choices. Like it or not, we have to play the hand we have.

For the life of me, I dont understand why JJ didn't get reps against Tulane

He handed the ball off 4 times

JJ threw a pick 6 in the 4th, and Miles didn't want to make it look like he benched him because of the int...so it burned a lot more clock

the INT cost JJ a lot of snaps

You really want to talk about impact. The single biggest impact a player has had on LSU this year (or even this decade) is Ryan Perrilloux.

Imagine if he was a quality kid, that never got into any trouble of any kind. Right now we'd be talking about our RS Junior All-SEC QB, and Lee would still have this year and possibly next to continue to develop.

Lee theoretically wouldn't have had to start a game until he was a 4th year RS Junior.

You wanna talk impact? Talk about the thug RP, don't rail on a RS Freshman in his first season as a starter, who's trying his damnedest to win for our team.
