I'm usually negative after a loss, but last night isn't really bothering me that much.

- We were never going to win last night. The conditions that led up to his game created a powder keg of raw emotion and volatility last night for Ole Miss, for both the fans and their players, the likes of which that team under Golding will never experience again. I watched the Ole Miss/Louisville game. I watched the 20 minute supercut of Ole Miss and Charlotte. Ole Miss looked like a completely different team last night that was playing out of their fricking minds. It was a highly unique situation with a set of conditions that resulted in a one time explosion of emotion and unrestrained energy for their program. They won't look like that or play at that level again all year. They have to go to the Swamp next week, and they will look like a completely different team.
- We were embarrassed in the first half and nearly everyone assumed Ole Miss was going to run away with this and blow us out. It didn't happen. Instead, LSU fought back. In that environment, we clawed our way back and tied the game late in the 4th quarter. Call it copium or a loser's mentality, but the truth is that says a lot about the attitude and overall team culture of the program, and that comes directly from Kiffin. We didn't quit, pout, or fold. We came out and fought on every play and tied the game after putting ourselves in a huge hole. That's character, and it's one of those intangibles that's more important that what the box score might show.
- That Ole Miss team last night was Kiffin's team. He built that. Chambliss specifically is Kiffin's quarterback. This was a kid playing football at a Division II school, and Kiffin was the one that evaluated the tape, made the offer, and developed him once at Ole Miss. Their offense, their team...that was Kiffin's product we were playing against last night.

You shouldn’t feel negative. LSU is a good team.
Leavitt is the biggest question mark. He’s capable and Kiffin and co. deserve the benefit of the doubt in bringing him along. Will it all click? Idk but I’m not punting on this season, not even close.
Losing Trey’Dez is potentially season altering and that’s a variable we just don’t know the impact of yet.
Their QB made more plays than ours and that’s why they won. That’s how a large percentage of football games are decided every week.

And now he’s a 6 year veteran adult playing against kids with an experienced and stacked line built by that same coach.
In hindsight, we were never going to win that game. The fact that we made it that close in the 2nd is promising. We will not play in a situation like that again this season.
