All these years of coaching and you can tell hes never been apart of anything like this. The atmosphere just had him speechless and emotional. This is why he came here to coach these games in these environments
on the biggest stage in college football. hes seeing that his risk paid off because this is a special place. Great win, well deserved coach

His Instagram is littered with people from 4 days ago saying he couldn’t win a big game. And he did it in one season after 2 seasons of suckery.

I'm happy for him.

I'm happy for us.

I had my doubts at the beginning of the season, but the turnaround from Game 1 has been nothing short of amazing.

There is still work to do but from how they played in Game 1 it doesn't even look like the same team.

Hell we started a WR at QB in our bowl game last year…and now this. Testament to his ability.

He could've easily ridden into retirement at ND. It's obvious that accomplishments means more to him than money.

Makes me appreciate it more. Still can’t tell if we’re good

Well it was really ugly in Game 1. Even Kelly was honest enough to say as much (not in the same words).

It takes all the members of the team; coaches, players, staff, etc. pulling in the same direction with a good plan to turn things around this quickly.

I'm really impressed.
