I hope we beat them by a lotof points. I hope the score is what posters have been predicting 40-3 like the peach bowl against Miami in 2005

You guys do realize that we beat Miami in the O-bowl in 2005 with a team that really wasn't too good. Miami wasn't all that 'n a bag of chips. We've beat 'em 3 times since, too... the latest while laying 472 yards rushing on them.

This matchup reminds me of the Peach Bowl in 2005--40-3

Not sure I agree with that assessment. In what way other than its the Peach Bowl again? As far as the opponent goes, I think we are catching Tech on the way up as opposed to a declining Miami in 2005.

LSU hasn't played a complete game all year. I am not at all confident they will be able to gain enough inspiration to perform at a top level for the chic bowl.

I hope I am wrong, but.....

We completed a grand total of 1 pass in Athens, and it was the first play of the game.

10-2 Ranked in the top ten and were supposed to beat us.

They weren't the traditional Miami powerhouses of old, but that was their record. That's not terrible by any means. LSU just beat the shite out of them, and LSU was pretty damn good that year as well.

Miami was way over rated in 2005. Very good D when they decided to show up, but terrible offense. LSU, OTOH, was playing good ball. The whupping y'all put on 'em was monumental, no doubt. They've never recovered from how that season ended losing to GT and then LSU.

No doubt, they only lost to GA because they were so damn wore out. They played like ten straight weeks or something. That team was good enough to be a national champion.

Overrated or not. 10-2 at the end of the year is still a good record so they were a good team. They may have been overrated but so what. LSU did what they needed to do.

This doesn't mean the game will end the same for GT. One does not have ANYTHING to do with the other.

#23 defense and # 46 offense > #36 defense and #54 and you have to factor in late-season momentum.

Hope I'm wrong though.

This year's Ga Tech team may have beaten UGA, but the same team almost lost to Gardner Webb.

Hey now! LSU is no Gardner Webb!

For your information, sir, G-W leads the nation in defense vs. third-string dropback QB's running triple-option offenses.

Then you're not very football knowledgable.

Just my "glass half full" prediction. By the way, ive probably forgotten more about football than you will ever know. Post count does not equal knowledge.

Their passing game has been pathetic, and its been pretty obvious that Miles' knows how to win bowl games.

Yeah, there's a good reason.

Actually, its a pretty good reason if you've seen GTech play, which im assuming you have not.

Plus, Herbstreit picked Tech, so there ya go.

dude you're living in a fantasy world. the WR Thomas will be one of the best in the country when hes done, he may be already, and you've clearly never watched a single GaTech game with Nesbitt behind center. He has a surprisingly strong and, at times, accurate arm. this is not a Nebraska-type option team. they can and will throw.

if Nesbitt goes out, game over, but if hes in and if hes on, we're in for a very long night.
