I realize it is early, but out of the Rivals top 100 players, LSU is only listed by 7 players in schools being considered. I understand that Coach Johnson wants players that will stay for 4 years and there was only 1 player from the state listed in the top 100, but should i be concerned?

2 decent players in b-ball could be the difference between 10 wins and 30 wins

Give it time man. Trent Johnson will bring in the right players for his system. I also think we will not miss on many more Louisiana recruits who blow up at other schools. Such as Tweety Carter and Dunn from Baylor, and of course Greg Monroe.

Be thankful we have someone who can coach when we get them here. Not being from this region, it may take a year or two before builds his recruiting base, rapport w/ h.s. coaches etc.

rankings are based off summer evaluations of AAU tournaments. Theres not many local kids that participate in AAU events, hence the rankings. But the guys we are recruiting are just as good as any kids in the top 100

That strategy hasn't exactly worked out well recently.

I expect LSU to have an excellent recruiting class for 2010. Current rankings are very speculative and will change drastically. LSU could have as many as 7 scholarships to give out. Current commit Jalen Courtney from Jackson is currently a 3-star, but has been getting rave reviews on the AAU circuit. I fully expect him to be a 4-star before he arrives at LSU.

Also, Louisiana basketball recruits are historically under-rated.
