you know that you can still be a great fan and not like the actions of a piss poor coached game, if you can review in your memory, you will recall that this is same way we played last year and we can expect the same results, not a championship level of play

Anybody remember the UL-M game in 2003?
Apparently not you.
quote:
Sloppy.
For one half, in a driving rain.
quote:
We were completely flat. Even the D sucked in the first half.
We might have been a little bit flat in the first half due to the lightning delay for half an hour, but the D didn't suck at any point in that game.
quote:
It was 24-7 in the 4th at home.
No, it wasn't. UL-M didn't score until the 4th quarter, when we already led 42-0. We ended up winning 49-7.
quote:
UL-M Was TERRIBLE.
Maybe, but they weren't coming off an 0-12 season. Washington might not be an 0-12 team this year, but they will be lucky to win three Pac Ten games or six games overall.
quote:
Nobody remembers that game now (except me)
quote:
because of the Arizona game that followed.
Yes, the Arizona game. A road game against a bad Pac Ten team in which we did NOT struggle, give up nearly 500 yards and not tackle worth a shite. A game we won by 40+ points, which is what a championship caliber team does when it plays a shitty opponent.
quote:
Go off what you see next week. The Vandy game will tell you what you need to know.
You have no way of knowing this. In 1999, we stunk in the first game, a sloppy 29-21 win over San Jose State. The next week, we looked much better blowing out North Texas 52-7 (or 52-0?). We lost our next 8 games and Gerry DiNardo got fired. That year, the first week was a MUCH better indication than the second week of the quality of our team. The second week is no magical crystal ball. It can be as misleading as any other week.

If I showed up for work, and didn't actually do my job, he probably would fire me. Your point?
It's not if you didn't do your job. The expectations are for you to show up and make the company $100,000.00 a day. And don't think about coming in tired or making excuses about the economy being slow. If you don't make the company money (and not a couple thousand, $100,000.00 with a 50% profit margin) everyday your arse is fired. That's about the expectations people place on Miles and LSU (some).

I'm ashamed to be an LSU fan...
Amen! Its the first game of the year. If any of you had played sports in your life you would know that things dont always look as sharp the first time out. Better yet how do all you idiots have time to post messages bashing the team on a day to day basis. Dont you have jobs? I'll take the win and be in full support when we beat vandy by 20 next week. Go cheer for Satan and Bama!

(1) That was not an 0-15 Washington team (not close)
Then what is their record over the past 15 games?
quote:
(2) Locker is a very good QB
Who missed most of last year with an injury, has no line to block for him and no defense to set him up in good situations. Yet, even with nothing really going for them except a good QB, Washington made it a very tough game for us.
quote:But talent is talent, and ours is supposed to be a lot better than this.
(3) Washington has logged half again the practice hours that LSU has.
quote:At game time, it was 9:30 in Baton Rouge. At the end of the game, it was around 12:30 or 1:00 a.m. You don't think our guys can stay up that late? Hell, they do that in the bars on a regular basis.
(4) The late Pacific Coast start was very tough on LSU.

YO DUDES, Maybe Washington will be better than expected (All they have to win is one to be better) I just want them to be within 7 points of USC so I can rag on their fans on other threads................
