Would it be better for Bama or Auburn to win if they both don't lose a game besides Bama losing to us? I've been thinking about this for a week and even if we win I don't see a way for us to get to the Sec championship with either one winning out after us. I'm pulling for Ole Miss to beat Auburn somehow and then Auburn beating Alabama, but I don't see Ole Miss getting close to Auburn.

Absolutely need Auburn to lose a game to have any shot at the playoff.

If we win out we just need to root for auburn to lose any 1 game.

But would an Alabama team with one loss not go ahead of us. Even if they did lose to us. Wouldn't our loss outside of the conference warrant them to go ahead of us? Our am I crazy, I just don't see Alabama going behind us with us being a two loss team.

Are you talking about Playoff or SEC title game? In your first post it says sec title. For sec title auburn needs to lose a sec game and LSU needs to win out and we are 100% in that game.

Playoff scenario is what people have talked a lot about. Does a 2 loss LSU get in over some 1 loss power 5 champs or
Over a 1 loss sec team that didn't play in the sec title. That one no one knows.

Hypothetical
Michigan 11-1
Clemson 13-0
Washington 13-0
Bama 11-1
Ohio state 12-1
Louisville 11-1
LSU 11-2
Wisky 10-2

No. OOC games don't count.

1. Clemson
2. Washington
3. OSU
4. LSU

Should be the ranks. Only way we'd get knocked out of that is if Baylor/WVU finish with 1 or less loss.

Imo, the best case scenario for LSU to make the playoffs is for Auburn to drop a game to either Ole Miss or Georgia and then beat Alabama.

This assumes that we win out and likely get some help from the other conferences.

That puts us in the SEC Championship game ahead of Auburn and Alabama, as well as knocking Alabama out of any back door consideration for the playoffs.

Edit: The other way to ensure that Bama doesn't jump us in the playoffs is for us to whip them soundly. That would be more fun.

LSU would be 10-2 IF we win the SECCG ( No S. Alabama game)
