No doubt it's going to be very tough to sweep them. If we can win tonight though and lock up the West maybe they're a bit deflated tomorrow.

Plus we'll be playing sky high with a chance to clinch a share of the overall crown at a minimum.

The long and short of it is, if the Tigers are getting hot and streaky it won't matter whether we have that number next to our name or not. Just Win baby! I don't understand this theory probably because it's retarded.

I'm not theorizing here...simply stating it hasn't done shite for us over the last 7 years and having a national seed isn't a prerequisite for winning the CWS...that being said, sure I would prefer have it than not...but if we fall short of it, it's not the end of the world.

Blitz... shake the haters. And by haters I mean reading comprehension challenged kneejerkers who consider a National Seed a must-have . They don't like stats so they draw a strawman: "why you not want home field, bro?"

No it's not the end of the world but postseason is all about momentum. Sweeping MSU or at least taking 2/3 and getting home field advantage thru the regionals and supers would make it easier to continue that momentum. This team seems like they're putting it all together at the right time. Hopefully it continues thru the weekend and the Alex Box crowd can help send them to the CWS. Odds of making it to the CWS would be a lot higher if we can play at home. I don't care about what's happened in the past. Different team, different year.

Not a hater. I see his point. Just simply disagree with it. I'd be a lot more confident with them making it out of a super if played at home.

What stats? The one where we've never made it to Omaha without hosting a super under the current format? That stat?

man people struggle with when tiebreakers matter on this board.

People also struggle with the fact that you can be a co-champion in baseball
