If we hire Bianco instead of Godwin

The logical replacement at Ole Miss for Bianco would have to be Godwin right? If I am Woodward this would keep me up at night. Personally I think Bianco will do great here at LSU however the fact that Godwin could go from being your guy to being your rival is scary. That would have to be a death sentence for Woodward if Ole Miss passes us up with Godwin as their coach.

The Louisville coach might be considered to take ove r at Ole Miss, he was an assistant under Bianco

Ole Miss would absolutely spend money on a top young coach (probably can't get McDonnell or someone like that) and we'd get double fricked.

All else being equal, why isn't Godwin the choice over Bianco?

Both check the Good Ole Boy Network box with ties to LSU, so that isn't an issue.

Godwin is 10 years younger than Bianco.

Godwin has had similar results as Bianco with lesser talent and money since becoming a head coach in 2015.

Since 2015:

Godwin:

0 - CWS Appearance
3 - Super Regional Exits
2 - Regional Exits
1 - Missed Playoffs

Bianco:

0 - CWS Appearance
2 - Super Regional Exits
3 - Regional Exits
1 - Missed Playoffs
