My OP was about all coaches make mistakes. To say Skip didn’t miss with Belle is denying that shite show that was him for 3 years while on campus. There were multiple issues abs he was dealt with, but make no mistake Bertman recruited so hard that he signed his brother to look out for him. He knew the talent he was and because of that talent abs his decision to keep playing him, he never won a championship with arguably the greatest single collection of pitchers at the collegiate level. In1989, he had Ben, Ogea, Byrd, Springer, LaRosa, O’Donahue and Leskanic - all MLB except laRosa.

These kids are soft compared to what Skip had, he might run a few off.
