I dont think they even need to, if the voter kust close the gap between the two schools, the computers will do the rest.

Only Bama fans and their media enablers want to see that game replayed. No one outside of the SEC enjoys a good defensive struggle. I almost think Boise St. would get the nod over Bama.

This... I agree with Navytiger,
1) Nobody except Bama fans want to see a rematch, and nobody stands to gain anything from it except Bama, if they win...

2) Also, it would be grossly unfair for LSU to have to play an additional game(SEC Champ.) to get to the National Champ. game while Bama does nothing but sit back and watch the game that week end and still get to play in the NC.

3) Last but not least, Bama had thier shot, in thier own back yard.... its the next guys opportunity..

Bama better become Ark fans because that is their only hope.

Bama is going to have a tough time with the pollsters when there is a legit 1-loss BCS conference champ if it comes to that. Still... 9-6 loss in OT to the clear #1 is a good argument.

My hope is Boise gets either Bama or LSU this year and gets absolutely eviscerated.

If either OU or Okie St. win out I think that is your BCSNC opponent to the SEC winner. OU will jump bama if they beat Okie st., beat whoever plays in the big 12 championship game against them, and wins the big 12 in the process.

Very logical . . .

. . . . . . except the "Big 12" is now only "10" and so there is no championship game this year.

Bama hasn't beaten anyone. Bama shouldn't be rewarded for who they lost to rather than a team that actually beat someone.

but a win over #2 and being the Big 12 champion is more than anything Bama has on their resume.

There ya go, and Bama doesn't play anyone that can help bump them up any higher.

Also, remember that a mama quality win was at penn st. They have a heck of a lot of turmoil, plus games vs Neb, Ohio st and Wisc. They'll probably lose 2 or 3 and plummet.
Also, if uga beats auburn, no more ranked opponents for bama.

Whatever happens, we'll see how fair college football is in picking what the best teams are.
