WAY better is a lot different than better

Masoli isnt WAY better than what RP was and would have been.

Id say he is better, but its definitely arguable that RP could have been better his senior year.

So you're arguing that RP could have won the Heisman his senior year? That's basically what it would take to be better than someone who was a legitament Heisman candidate.

1st of all he is WAY better QB than RP!!!!
Huge overstatement. Watched Masoli several times last year and no he is not that good. In the Boise State game he looked like a robot. No way of knowing how good Perriloux could have been, but his two starts could be an indication. SEC championship game MVP.

Who's to say he wouldn't have at LSU? He was a beast as a Soph. and still learning the ropes. You're saying he wouldn't have been a complete stud if he wouldn't have been wanting to kick an IHOP waitresses arse?

im not saying it couldn't be true. Im just saying its an assumption because we never really got to see how good RP could be.

I'd rather not HAVE to depend on a guy with a history of disciplinary problems for my QB. We've already dealt with those repercussions recently.

No kidding. I wish the young man all the best, but if something did happen to him at LSU ... well, Jesus, that gives us two high profile QBs bounced in 4 years. Not a risk worth taking at this time.

Miles tends to kick kids off quick except RP. Honesty why bring him here and be under the microscope?

Yea the kid was pretty talented. He did win us the SEC champ game as a sophomore.

Masoli would probably be to LSU in 2010 what RP was in 2007.

Masoli couldn't step on campus in the fall and beat out JJ or any QB that is a 1.5 year starter. I wouldn't even favor Tim Tebow to do that. To do that you would have to be a very good college QB at picking up and executing the passing game.

You think way too highly of our QBs. Tebow would be the starter after two weeks of practice.

your stupid comment about RP is a fricking assumption

No it is not, asshat. RP didn't prove shite at LSU.

How much of the playbook does he know at Ole Miss? How much experience does he have there? How much of a rythym does he have right now? Just curious

He could have come to LSU last year and without knowing shite we would NOT have had the 112th ranked offense in the country. We DON'T lose to Bama or Ole Miss.

Masoli will not make it through the year without getting into some kind of trouble. He will be kicked off the team before the end of the year.

That my friend is extremely debateable. RP had a better arm and was just as much a running threat. If he would have stayed through his Senior year he would have lit the SEC up.

this...bigtime. he will always be the big 'if' for Les Miles and the damage he caused is still being felt. if JJ matures into his job we should finally be back on track.

I say let Nutt deal with him and the coming circus surrounding it.

I don't doubt that Masoli is a good QB, however, this will be his first year of experiencing SEC play.

This ain't the Pac-12 brother!

Again...these are all assumptions. IMO...it wouldn't have mattered who we had back there if they had that o-line in front of them.

And personally...i'd rather not take the chance on a pothead felon.

But what if this makes LSU end up 5th in the west???? I would take that chance, We would have a better record with Masoli than we will with JJ or LEE!!!!!IMO.
