Havent read the entire thread...but I dont believe that many LSU fans hated or disliked JR. I think you have a few who just post alot...ie loudmouths...who might make it seem to be more than reality.

Hey...he played for LSU and gave great effort with very good results...what's not to like?

The real question should be....will there EVER EVER EVER be an LSU QB more hated than J LEE? EVER? I think we all know the answer to that.

IDK 1127, I know JR's talent was allworld, but I just can't help but think if he could have just put a TD on the board against Auburn in'06, it would have went a long way with me.

we had 4 drives ended by terrible calls from the officials against a great defense

the killer was the throw to Early...ED was well behind the defense but the ball was thrown way late and short which allowed the free safety to come out of no where to defend the play. that should've been an easy touchdown

Kentucky handled Saban's D in 2002 and his D (and conservative playcalling) cost us the West against Arkansas

wtf does that even mean

you don't think Lafell catches that pass?

no, it was a well officiated and coached game

running the ball 30 times for 1 ypc was an awesome strategy

you've been on this board for 6 years, and you really think this?

there are a TON of LSU fans that can't WAIT to call russell a bust in the NFL.

I didnt even read the thread. the whole thread is stupid. I hate the word "IF" is ridiculous.

Worrying (or "IF") is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere.

discussing plays that actually happened isn't a real situation?

I dunno, if he sported that BAMA chain on national TV a year after leaving LSU I'd still have the same--low--opinion of him.

I liked JR until that happened...

yes, but creating a web of "ifs" in order to frame a scenario that protects one's biases is what leads to a lot of these "dead-horse" arguments...of course the board would be about half the size if no one did this, and SFP would only have about 139 posts.
