His arse will be hot from the get-go with this fan base next year.

Wait ... when has his arse NOT been on the hot seat with this fan base?

He's never been close to the hot seat. He's been on solid footing since his first season.

Some fans wanting him fired doesn't mean he is on the hotseat.

Miles could probably go 5-7 next season and not get fired. H has too many years remaining on his contract at too much money. The buyout would probably be prohibitive.

No one said he was on the hot seat with the LSU administration. The previous poster said "with this fan base", and with this fan base, Miles has constantly been on the hot seat.

Please describe (in a reasonable scenario) how that would unfold...

Economic collapse, the dollar is greatly devalued and we can afford to buy out the last 4 or 5 year of his contract, (or any extension Alleva gives him next year)?

We will not go under .500 as long as Chavis is on this staff. We may drop 3 to 4 games next year at most.

nobody knows a damn thing about rivers and i don't need to tell you what it's like to have a freshman start in the sec if we go that route. i could see a 6-7 record scenario similar to what uga expected a few years ago.

Other programs seem to be able to bring in a freshman at QB...see A&M.

1999- In the previous scenario-- Joe Alleva should have to pay LSU the damn raise he gave MoRon. As dumb of a game day coach that MoRon is, he out smarted the AD and used the Pigs to his advantage. Money is not the prime focus for Lester. It's the extension and the cost to run his ignorant arse off. Damn Skip Bertman for hiring this arse wipe.

I don't know, of course no one knew JFF was a 1 in a million prospect either.

Miles is a good enough coach. Just needs to stop playing the I know what I'm doing game. It's time to acknowledge and address the problems. This is all most people want.

Sadly, he will probably be here longer. For whatever reason, the school and many fans believe this clown is a good coach. So good they gave him a big raise and extension. Stupid ...

I wonder if that has anything to do with his overall record and not cherry picked moments by a bunch of crybabies.

10 years is a nice run for a coach at any school these days.

next year will be rough with the schedule and we'll probably drop 3-4 games.

in 2014 we will be breaking in a new qb and things could get really nasty.

this will be perfect timing to snatch chip kelly once he crashes and burns with the browns.

I'm by no means a big fan of Les Miles but if he gets fired anytime soon with this record (11-2, 12-2, 8-5, 9-4, 11-2, 10-3) how many coaches do you think would be willing to come here?

You guys are not being very realistic.

the Saban factor at alabama is what triggers all this unhappiness

The fact that Miles finally admitted he blew the Bama game this year should be enough for your sunshine pumpers to finally realize Miles is much Les than you think. We all saw him blow the 2011 BSCNCG, the Alabama and Clemson games this year. LSU has elite talent that is being wasted by Miles each year.

So you think $4MM and the entire state of LA as your playground for talent wouldn't have quality coaches foaming at the mouth?

Whether or not I agree to fire Miles, there would be plenty of coaches praying to come here.

Sorry guys but the Rant does not represent a very large portion of the fan base. You represent a tiny portion of the fan base that wants to fire Miles

Maybe I should have said established coaches and not up and coming coaches.
