11-2 with shitty passing or 10-3 with decent passing..

I'll take 11-2. But I agree, I'm much more excited with Lee coming in. After watching the highlights, an improved Lee can't be a bad thing.

Oh I know neither have had any kind of game like that while at LSU. The point is who do you think is more capable of that.

AM, who do you think has the highest upside in the 2011 offense? I am not asking who is the better QB or who gives LSU the best chance to win, but rather what QB out of Lee or JJ is capable of putting up the biggest game statistically?

I would much rather not die with anybody. If dying with Lee, I would rather have an experienced QB with a different skillset available. I have no problem Living with Lee but if we start dying I would want another option.

He finally gets his chance. Hope he doesn't shite the bed. I would rather JL be in there than JJ though. Should make the offense more balanced.

Who currently has the statistically better best game (awkwardly worded sentence)? I honestly don't know. Couldn't find it online.

I'll take 11-2.

Alot of people talk about the wins and how that is all that matters, but yet we criticize the individual players all the time. LSU wins and loses games. I do not blame any wins/losses on JJ or JL as individuals.

Some teams are more fun the watch even if they lose a few games. It is possible for an 8-5 team to have been more enjoyable to watch than a team that went 11-2. We won the Tennessee game last year, but it was not fun to watch at all. I think the point the OP is trying to make is that regardless of wins and losses, 2011 with JL will be more enjoyable to watch than 2009 or 2010 were with JJ.

I would imagine JJ vs Ole Miss or A&M would be up there.

Even then, if JJ has the best game so far, that does not mean that he is capable of the absolute best game between the two QBs. Plus, the last game JL started and finished was 2009 La Tech What can he do with a full 60 minutes in 2011? I am not sure, but we will find out in 34 hours.

Snap

Penn St. was the 4th loss. Regardless this team has no business losing 4 OR 5 games.

Fair enough. I disagree, but that is fine. I would imagine we both hope JL lights it up tomorrow.

It felt like five . That was a painful year for some reason. It was the first (and only) time I was ready for the season to be over when it ended. When the Cap One bowl wrapped up in a clusterfrick fashion rivaled only by that year's Ole Miss game, I stood up, said frick this shite, and got smashed.

+1000

JJ showed a nice one during the bowl game...BUT... overrated (2nd string SEC QB).

besides, upstairs choices led to his inability to show us anything different this year.

GEAUX ANY OTHER QB! LEE IS OUR MAN...ROLL WITH IT TIGERS

Although true, not a fair argument considering the majority of the time Lee came in (which was very limited) LSU was having to throw the ball.
Which means the running game should be even better because the defense is expecting pass.

Look at the passing stats from 08 and 10. If we can keep the rushing stats the same from last year and get over 200 ypg passing from Lee, our offense will be very much improved.
Difficult to keep the rushing yards from 2010 with out Jefferson because Jefferson was the second leading rusher.

Even though JJ did mess up sometimes i still felt comfortable when he started ever since 08 whenever lee would get in he always made me sick. So I hope he has it together Saturday

Amen!!!

Look, I hope/wish Lee comes out strong and blows the doors off.

I also wish JJ would be able to play Saturday if Lee struggles just as Lee was there in 2010 to come in when JJ struggled.

No matter what, LSU was/is a better team with both JL and JJ than we are with only one.imo

People tend to discount Jefferson's rushing statistics.

I broke it down like this. In their careers, Lee has taken the majority of snaps in 14 games. Jefferson has taken the majority of snaps in 25 games.

Jefferson accounted for 150 yards of offense in 16 out of 25 games, or 64% of the time.

Lee accounted for 150 yards of offense in 7 out out of 14 games, or 50% of the time.

Jefferson accounted for 200 yards of offense in 10 out of 25 games, or 40% of the time.

Lee accounted for 200 yards of offense in 3 out of 14 games, or 21.4% of the time

Neither has ever accounted for 300 yards of offense, although Jefferson had 299 total yards against Ole Miss last season.

I hope he looks like Drew Brees.

But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous.
