what do you base that on ?

sorry, but I only see arrogance in those words..
we have nothing to gain and everything to lose..

how is that good for us ?

While I like our "chances" in a rematch, I certainly don't want one.

rbdallas has it right...It's an everything to gain for Bama and a lot more to lose for LSU.

Why should we have to beat them again, we've been there and done that...and in their house!

While I'd agree that Bama is the second to best team in the country, They've had their shot!

Assuming we win next week, LSU should get to play the second to best team in the country, THAT THEY HAVEN'T ALREADY BEAT THIS YEAR in the championship game!

Everyone is beatable, and Bama is the team with the best chance this year to beat us. I truly believe this Bama team would beat most of the other National Championship teams the last decade. I think this LSU team would beat both of our other National Championship teams.

I understand where LSU fans are coming from with not wanting to play Bama again. Bama is the one team that can make it rain during your best parade ever.
But at the same time if I was a LSU fan. With so many talking heads in CFB saying Bama probably should've won that game. I'd want to prove that 1st game was taken, not given.

Bama thinks they should've won that game
LSU feels they earned that game
Both are correct

Both Bama & LSU will feel they've got a good chance in a rematch.
Both are correct again

amazing to me that some here are willing to risk 2-3 million dollars on arrogance.

that's what LSU would lose if they were to play Bama and lose.

I'm tired of reading about how Bama lost because they missed 4 FGs and really outplayed us.
The 4 FGs they missed were all from 44+ yards(44, 50, 49, and 52), these were not chip shots.
Their primary kicker, Shelley, hasn't made a 40+ yard kick the entire year.
Their other kicker, Foster, has made 2, thats right 2 kicks the entire year.
Bama did not lose because they missed these kicks, if anything Saban got out-coached and made a poor decision to even attempt these kicks in the first place.
If they would have punted and played field position, like LSU, they would have been much better off.
On top of all of that, we out-rushed Bama and held them to less than 100 yards rushing for the first time this year.
Bring on a rematch, Bama's D will not keep these Tigers out the end zone again.

I would welcome a rematch. We're gonna have to play whomever shows up. The Hat beats the small coach again and the small coach will be under more pressure than an old lady's bladder...

Bama actually has far more to lose in this game than us. We would have beat your vaunted defense and "best" coach on the face of the earth, twice; in one season. Tusc. might burn.

That game might need to be the one we need to win to be considered better than Miami '91.

So do we want to play OSU and be a great team....or do we play Bama and become THE team. Definitely a lot more risk in the latter.

If we play Bama again, it is a toss up.

Although I don't think LSU played its best game the first time around.

As a fan of CFB, in general, I just don't feel Bama belongs in the game. Nothing against them, but they had their chance. Bama would be rewarded for:

1) Losing the "Game of the Century" AT HOME
2) Beating Arkansas at home
3) Beating Penn State (who I think loses today)
4) Being Bama

Just think about this glory below
This LSU team has done great things so far, but y'all beat Bama in a BCS title situation.
You just might have a legit argument to being equal or better than that 1995 Nebraska team.

With High Risk comes very High Rewards

Beating some sacrificial lamb badly in the BCS title game isn't going to be remember forever by everyone in CFB.
Beat Bama again, LSU lives in CFB lore forever

I think we win a rematch by two TDs. I want to shut up the inevitable whining if we play someone else in the MNC. I think we played Bama nervous, the only time we played like that all year. I don't expect a repeat.

LSU has already proved that they are number one beyond any doubt! This season has been hard enough. I hope LSU gets little sister of the poor in the NC game.

I tend to agree here. While I don't agree with the decision to give Bama a rematch game (shouldn't you have to at least win your conference to lay claim to best in the country?), it's not because I don't think we can't win and because I'm "afraid" to play them. Consider:

1. With but one exception, we all see what Miles can do when he has over a month to prepare.

2. It's like a home game for LSU - the Tigers have ruled the Superdome in recent years.

3. Georgia Southern has delivered a "how-to" guide on defeating Bama.

I like our chances.

The problem I have with a Bama rematch is that it is fair to everyone in the country except LSU! Bama gets a rematch in the national championship and if they win what does that prove? If this happens the trophy would need to be cut in half. We each win one game but since their win was the national championship they are the best and crowned champions? Of course LSU winning it solves this major issue.

I think LSU will beat anybody in the Dome, even Bama in a rematch. We shouldn't complain about the BCS system since it has helped us get to the BCSCG twice. Having said that, I would rather play OSU because I think we would have an easier game against them. I don't care about this LSU team being crowned as the best of all time, I just want another crystal ball. That is enough for me.
