I will take a few in game "gambles" that turn out to be coaching errors any day. Miles and he staff came up with a fantastic gameplan and for the most part it was executed very well. We asked / implored miles to learn from 01/09. Any right minded fan cannot deny he did that.

I can't recall a the last time we lost a game we so thouroughly dominated. We ran 30 more plays them and allost double time of possession They had zero yards passing the entire 2nd half until the last drive. Amazing.

This is all true and I salute our coach for that. However, he and Chavis' poorly timed calls, schemes, and gambles undid all the good the week off provided and gave Alabama's offense the edge it needed to shove in the knife once again. Such futility!

It just does not compute.

Well, with 90 secs to go, who sees Bama going 72 yds in like 40 secs?

Oh well, it was still a great effort vs. those Giants...wait, I mean Bama.

Anybody who watched LSU games when we've played this same weak defense could have predicted it. Lesser teams than Alabama have scored on us while soft/prevent was in play (see So Carolina and aTm games this year).

Miles' dumb decisions cost us the game.

100% wrong. I have no problem with the calls that Miles made. If Alleman runs to the outside that play works. If Harrison lets the ball carry for another 1/2 yard, that play works. Alleman long field go attempt should more than likely not been tried, but apparently Miles thought he could make it.

I still have a pit in my stomach but it is getting better. The way our defense was playing I thought there was no chance in hell that Bama was going to kick a field goal more less score a TD with 90 seconds left.

Did it escape you that in that last 90 second possession, the LSU defense stopped playing lights-out defense like they had all 2nd half, and started playing soft/prevent so as not to lose? Totally different conditions were suddenly thrust into Alabama's greedily desperate little hands. And they grabbed what we gave them and ran away with the W that rightly belonged to LSU for that mostly otherwise dominating performance.

Les Miles should accept this loss all on his own. His last drive, we ran the ball 3 times. Our QB was the hottest he's been, and we ran the ball 3 times, to run down the clock. DO NOT TELL ME THAT WAS THE OC. Les slipped back into his conservative mode, and he lost the game. Then to top it off, when Bama has the ball, we play deep afraid of a long throw. The result was leaving the field wide open. Horrible Horrible coaching!

We have only gotten as far as we have due to raw talent. Not due to any great coach.

you are grasping for straws to hate on Les. if we pass the ball every play while trying to run out the clock you would bitch at that.

I don't mind people criticizing Les for the right reasons, i.e. fake field goal call, but this is just stupid.

Who went out and recruited that raw talent?
