After watching our QB play I'm not nearly as faithful as I was yesterday. It was abysmal all the way around.

But our running game has hope. And I think the part about our D not stopping the run will be addressed when all the starters are on the same team and ready. I'm not sweating the Defense. Mingo and Peterson and Lawson.... good god.

I just wish I had something good to say about the QBs. They are gonna have to reach down deep and put their noses to the grindstone and DO IT... But for now... I'll say 3 loss season.

Everything looked really good. It's so hard to tell since it's just spring and your playing against your own team. Only shaky thing was QB and I pray that gets worked out over the next 5 months.

I'm still optimistic about this team. Give em the long summer to work everything out. I'll judge this team when I see them against UNC. Other then that, I'm still very optimistic.

we get off to a good start at 5-0.it brings the confidence up.icing on the cake is when bama rolls out of tiger stadium with a loss.i like this team.i think the qb situation will work itself out.the o-line and rb will be better.our offense will be better.this was a practice today and you couldnt really see what the tean can do.all our qb's have to do is move the football and dont turn it over.manage the game.

I think a lot of folks are going crazy about how JJ and JL looked terrible (myself included). But after calming down... a manifesto

1. Ford and Ridley looked great. Add in Murphy, Ware, Gore (and next year Hilliard and Hill), we're loaded at the position.

2. Shep looked great out of the backfield again, but here's hoping he can improve the catching ability in stride. Too many drops today, but glad it was a spring game. I think he should be getting some screens.

3. Ends looked fantastic. Loston looked pretty good. Eugene may never grow out of whiffing on tackles. It's hard to say that the DTs weren't very good because the best DTs weren't in the game. I can't say I noticed the LB play a lot (not a good or bad thing).

4. Special team play looked great. Encouraged by the kicking for sure. I think Peterson and Shep returning kicks will not be fun for opponents. Peterson accelerates very quickly. You don't really see it in coverage, but when he's moving straight ahead he's very fast.

5. Too early to bail on Jefferson and embrace Lee. I'm also all for developing Garrett and eventually Z. Lee, but there's a lot of time for development between now and North Carolina. Hope Jefferson can take the next step as a passer, but definitely did not display that today.

6. We have great weapons at every skill position. The offensive line looked much better than they did last year, even with Mingo and Montgomery (nice ring to it) going into full-on beast mode.

Well I went to the game today and to read what you wrote absolutely boggles me. You could look at me in all sincerity and tell me that the sky is purple, and I might be able to understand that you would make a statement like that more than the thought that you're trying to convey to others on here right now.

How in the living hell could you have watched that offense today and derive such an opinion? And not only to think that, but to think it on a self righteous plane to where others that disagree are immediately "negatigers" and "hate LSU and wish for them to lose". I just don't get it.

Let me preface this with, I realize it is 6 months until kick off. LSU will be solid next year but I saw a lot of things that would prevent me from thinking that LSU would be a lock as a BCS team let alone a title shot. And yes I think LSU could easily beat Auburn this coming season.

Ridley and Ford tearing it up. Maybe you can say it was only the backs, but I'd think the line had something to do w/ it. Additionally (while it's given that the DTs were out), short yardage situations were being given up by the D.

Again, that's the line last year. We're deep at all of the positions. I think most people would take our RB stable, DeAngelo @ TE, Shep, Randle, Tolliver(s), and the incoming batch at WR. They've got talent, they've just got to be put in the right spots and have the ball delivered consistently. I will say that the drops are an issue for the WRs.
