I don’t get it either. There’s nothing to hang your hat on with this guy. Maybe he turns out to be awesome. It’s not like this is Baker with Lincoln Riley calling plays. This team has other glaring issues. I don’t get the notion that this team is sniffing Atlanta.

Right. I think people forget the absolute pounding Etling took and how he played hurt his entire LSU career (thank you Danny Btw). Some of those hits he took would have snapped Myles in half. And so MB gets another year at least to beef up and our oline will be a year older and hopefully better at pass protection. MB gets his glory in his junior or senior year. He shud be ok with that. I certainly am.

Burrow played against better competition in HS and his ranking was comparable to Brennan.
He’s physically and mentally more mature.
He had three years at a premier CFB program run by an excellent head coach.
He’s reportedly a student of the game and his dad is a college coach.
Did you watch Brennan’s performance in the spring game?
Either Burrow wins the job or the competition makes Brennan raise his game.
There is no downside.
Our quarterback play has suffered long enough. Anything that gives the fan base hope is good.
He’s physically and mentally more mature.

Players just want to win. If they believe he will help win games they won’t think twice about getting behind him.
