this season. After taking a couple of 5-HTP and listening to a couple of voices of reason (not on this site) I realize that Coach has actually turned this team into a very good and even championship caliber team.
The two things that have had me upset is we haven't played the best quarterback and his not answering questions directly. But looking at this logically, we have a situation where we just don't have another good option at QB and Miles is just Miles.
I had to admit that these coaches want to win more than I do and are putting the best players on the field to accomplish this goal. So I've decided to admit my mistake and accept our short comings this year and enjoy a very good team. I believe he will correct this situation or be replaced (with no guarantee of someone better).

I love how people assume that Lee is all of a sudden the best QB. He had a crappy game against tech last year but all of a sudden he is definitely better. I'm not saying that he wouldn't do better but lets not assume that he is definitely the best QB. I'm pretty sure if it was clear cut, then he would be playing. The coaches are not going to intentionally play the worst player.

WHose fault is it that we do not have a good option at QB? After 6 years on the job, he is in year 3 of no good option with year 4 next year. And right now, we are looking a years 5 + in a row which may be worse than what is going on right now. THat is a serious problem.

so Ryan Periloux and Zach Lee had nothing to do with our lack of QB talent here right?

The QB issue is on Miles - just like the excellent D and ST. We are on target to get a decent QB next year and will still have our main WRs with some younger ones and our young D and ST and will be making a run for the Title game. (Miles has shown that he is capable of corrections albeit a year late for each and I am sure the offense will be much better next year)

If you just want to get rid of Miles no matter what - that is not going to happen, no matter how much you want it or will it to be so.

Sometimes shite happens and getting upset, especially when we have no control over it, can only serve to worsen our moods and lessen our happiness.

People get tired of this "excuse" but it is true. If we are allowed to develop JJ or JL for 2-3 years without having to put them directly into the fire as freshmen they would be in very different places. Can some guys play well as freshmen and be fine later in their career? Sure! But obviously these guys needed to sit and build confidence on the practice squad.

I dont think most people think Lee is the savior but I would like to see MIles come out and say we will play both QB's. Maybe a couple series with JJ then give Lee a series or two. You never know it may make both compete at a higher level. It makes no sense to pull JJ and put Lee in to handoff.

So he put up better stats against tech than what JJ did against a ranked opponent and 2 sec schools. Nice comeback

Please - you do not put all your eggs in one basket. THe QB situation is a disaster and the perception is that no solution is in sight for several more years.
RP is over 3 years old. Lee never even made it into one season.

why must Miles run the option? JJ never lost a game in high school as a starter while running the spread so why the stupid arse option?

Nope. Bringing in a great kid from Butler County Comm. College. Can't think of his name right now.

Assume ? As if he hasn't played or thrown a pass yet. If you knew anything about mechanics, pocket presence or delivery you couldn't make that statement.

Really, last year ?

No, they're doing it most certainly by accident.

My thing is that at least in 2008 we moved the football. We just turned it over a lot and our defense was not capable of picking up the slack. Our passing game is horrid right now, and I think we owe it to the team to see if Lee can do some things a little better. If he can't put JJ back in.

The Tech game was a game of deep balls and JL never had good play calling to get him going. The guy sat all yr until the Bama game. JJ has played the last 18 games, so yeah, a poor effort in a Tech game cold being better than JJ after starting for the last two yrs is a pretty damn good comeback. JJ has done a piss poor job. Is JL better, who knows, but don't you think we should see before we play Florida? Might be wise

Zach Mettenberger. He got kicked of UGA's team for grabbing some chick at a bar. He said we was sorry and is killing it in the JUCO ranks. Hopefully he'll end up here. I dont think it's a done deal yet.

yea, and the good thing is that our offense CAN get better. the talent is there to improve. we have witnessed JJ playing better so we know that's there. ditto with the wr's. on some plays, these guys look great (offense as a unit) so i'm hopeful that they start to gel. teams gel at different times during the season. our '06 team; a little late and uga's '07 team looked unbeatable at years end. i hope others read your post with objectivity.

jj has had a lot of chances at QB. He is not & will never be any better than he is now. Les needs to look hard at a division 2 qb for next year. Remember jj still has 1 more year. I still do not know why Les has a love for Jefferson!
