But I think this team gives up 5 losses this season. I have no reason to believe otherwise, the defense is dredfull, I have prepared myself, I don't like it but i guess its time to face reallity, Still blead purple and gold but i don't see us beating carolina, georgia, alabama even ole miss. Hell the way they are playing tulane will have a shot.

Just hope we make it to a bowl game. Alabama and thier running game is going to eat us alive. That score could be really, really ugly. Saban has that game circled for sure.

It could happen. But then this is the reason we pay Miles what we pay him - to turn things around, quickly.

5 losses is a stretch. Ill stick with my preseason prediction that LSU loses 3-4 games. Florida, UGA, and I was thinking Auburn but now its looking more like Bama or South Carolina.

Saban lost 5 in 2002 and lost to Bama 37-0 and AU 37-6. I think the UF game is about their offense. I think we do not build our team to beat one team that uses the spread. You build your defense to beat 90% of the teams on your schedule. I think we build ours to beat an offense more like Bama and Auburn to win the west first and assume risk at UF. Just have to go with the numbers. We are a better match-up against the rest of the teams on our schedule.

You do know that Tulane out-played Bama this year, right?

yea i agree sort of. I mean miles knows tons about defense right Meanwhile are co coor are position coaches that take pelini's scheme which i did not like already and make it horible.

What makes you think we wont have that many losses???

I am not saying its the worst things, just saying this is probably whats going to happen. They have showed me nothing to make me believe that we will keep our competitive edge in the sec THIS YEAR.

hey maybe we can move holiday to linebacker

And that's why you think Ole Miss will beat us???

But yeah, seriously Ole Miss is always an upset waiting to happen. They always get up for us.

Apparently they do the same for Florida, being that they beat Florida 3 out of the last 4 times they played each other.

Anyway, my point was that your absolute fear of Alabama is unwarranted... Tulane outplayed them. Yes, they showed up against Georgia, and they showed up against us last year (took us a miracle to beat them), but its hard to show up every single game of the season. There is no guarantee that Alabama will beat us, just like there is no guarantee we will beat Ole Miss.

Not a die hard LSU fan but no way does this team lose 5 games this season. The only other game that is a toss up is alabama other than that they win every other game. A loss in the swamp to a pretty good florida team isnt that big of a deal. They lost two games last year and still won it all.

...........i agree with 'dreaux'; you could see it coming after the miss st game. the defense is gonna' give up alot of points.........buckle up! but to actually think that we were gonna' compete for the mnc is first greedy and secondly delusional. flynn was ALOT better than most people give him credit for and hester was a WHOLE LOT better than any of the running backs we have now. i'm grateful for 2 mnc's in 5 yrs (nobody else has done it yet in the bcs) and for the successes of the last decade or so. and if you think that this sport is not super competitive with TALENT spread WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy out, you're in for alot of disappointments !!!

cheers and
