I deal with a guy through work that is a huge Bama fan and he still owes me money. Tried to give me the "let's set a new bet and I'll pay you twice the amount of old and new bets". I told him that if I was a big time bookie, he'd have a few broken bones pulling that shite.

I wasn't absolutely sure of this before this season. Now I am.

It's gonna be real hard for them to swallow what happens to them Jan 9th. But I will say this, there are a few of them that are getting a clue. The smart ones are figuring out we have more play makers, we are faster and we have much more depth. I still think either team can win the game just like all games, there's just too many things that can happen like what happen to Texas in their NC game against Bama. Why I think we win is that we can lose several players and not skip a beat. And I've never felt this way about any football team ever.

Seriously? Hate?

You realize that by hating them, they are winning the war.

Laugh at them. Pity them. Don't hate them.

living over here in tejas now i can honestly say that their fans and bama fans are like two peas in a pod. i have a neighbor that still insists that their '09 baseball team beat us in the world series. they were better and deserve the title. how do you even respond to such stupidity? this guy probably had a replica trophy made and has it in his den. tejas, 2009 College World Series Champions. the sec oughta trade bama to the big 12 so them and their texas buddies can outdelude each other.

Me, too. I thought I hated Notre Dame and USCw, but these fans and their sense of entitlement, and the whining like spoiled children when they don't get what they want, is actually nauseating. I hate them more than any other fan base.

They are the most delusional fan base in the world.

To wit, from TideFans:

"I have a very good friend who is an LSU grad - we agreed that this game represents a full game overtime as the loss on 11/5 in OT proved nothing.

These are the two best teams in college football this year - and two of the best teams to take the field in college football in decades. Somehow it is fitting that we couldn't settle it in 60 minutes."

"Your friend must be more mature than mine, who said that the better team one. I didn't have a response, I mean how do your respond to such nonsense. That mproved nothing but that LSU has better kickers. When Lou Holtz says something like that, you know its true. He has no love for Bama and would take the opportunity to brag how much better LSU was if he could."

Most Sabama fans are a bunch of Lunatics. You cannot reason with them, they feel entitled every year to NC because of their past history. In a way I feel sorry for their players (not Saban).
They are going to put so much pressure on them their heads are going to explode.

Picture this when they loose the BCS ... losing three straight times to Les and the LSU Tigers ...

They will crawl into a fetal position in their stadium chairs, start sucking their thumbs until they are in a coma. OMG

I live in Alabama and get this occasionally. I try not to go to places where the rural types hang out.

My only problem with your story is this:
quote:

i asked him when he attended the university of alabama

What does that have to do with anything?

Amen, LSUGD. The Texass fans are only SLIGHTLY exceeded in their self-absorbed world by the Bammers.

I was wondering the same thing....I was an LSU fan long before I ever went to college. Being a fan is not something you can only obtain by attending that institution....for many of us it was inherited.

that has everything to do with it.

the guy incited an unsolicited argument out of allegiance to a team that he has no affiliation to other than they are a historically successful team that he likes.
notice his answer was not my family all went there or my kid goes there...
LSU has fans like this also, but Bama is way worse.
its totally ok to like a team and/or call them your team without any affiliation... but dont walk around with swagger and pride when you have NO affiliation. (just my opinion)
