At 10 million a year shouldn’t he know who the good coaches are and who the bad coaches are? Why do we have to take a season for him to discover this?

You think that was his decision?

Without questions the powers that be came in and said every last one of them goes.

Kelly hired those morons in the first place
Hate Kelly all you want, but he wasn't told to do shite

Kelly fired a ND defensive coordinator 4 games into the season because the defense was getting killed. The very next year he hires Mike Elko. Mike is there for a year, leaves to be TAMU DC, and Kelly promotes Clark Lea as HC. Lea leaves after producing a top defense, and he grabs Marcus Freeman as DC.

The man has 3 straight DCs become good HCs. He knows what the frick he is doing there.

I always find it completely immature when people can't seperate their hatred with common sense and logical reasoning.

The team, the university and the fans should be more important than helping Nuss make more millions than he has already made.

To me, you have to try to win this year and I think you need to give MVB a chance to see if he can help this year's team. If he doesn't, you go back to Nuss and have answered the question and thus any locker room angst that may or may not be present.
You have the bye week and a home game vs South Carolina. Get MVB ready for South Carolina. Let him get that game, Vandy and the TAMU game. If he is worse than Nuss, you have at least exhausted all resources there and Nuss gets 5 weeks to heal something (3 games and 2 bye weeks).

Me personally, other than throwing a ton of ints, there is no way in hell MVB can play any worse than Nuss statistically.

Vs P4, Nuss is averaging 222 yards, 6.7 ypa 1 TD and 0.7 ints.
Last year vs P4 he averaged 305 yards at 7.4 ypa 2 TDs 0.9 int.

To a certain degree, the same dilemma is faced by Clemson staff with regard to Klubnick. He has regressed and they probably need to try back up but are trying to weigh how to deal with a Sr. who returned and now isn't delivering. If you pull him, you hurt his draft ability and coaches don't want to do that with someone that they were glad to have return and forego being drafted last year.
many senior QBs have lost their job that way.

Nuss is a millionaire and son of an NFL coach. They already have a year of tape on him when he was healthy and threw for 4k and 29 TDs. At worse he's a fourth round pick and is a backup as a rookie. I'm not saying to completely shut it down for the season, but if they start MVB, and he plays good, just remain as an immediate backup in case anything happens. Jalen Hurts earned a lot of respect doing that when he lost his job to Tua and stayed the entire year at Bama, even coming in off the bench in the SEC champ game to bail out Tua and beat UGA. See Saban exhausted his resources. He threw Tua in the championship game for a struggling Hurts, then the very next year he threw Hurts in the SEC championship game for a struggling Tua. Won both games.

Seriously, Nuss is providing LSU with 220 yard 1 TD and 1 int vs P4. MVB can do that.

Kelly owes it to the university, the team and the fans to play the best available players to win every game. Nothing more, nothing less!

If he replaces Nuss for South Carolina

That will require courage.

Give the starter one quarter. If he's done, don't waste time. Put next year's starter in.

And he fired Tommy Moffitt.

Thats the main reason our OL couldn't move a JR HS team off the line. They are WEAK
