ah, Bomber77 needs to get the stick out of his arse. He/she is connected to Ridley somehow, and it was blatantly obvious when that whole crap went down.
Ridley is a great player, but there was absolutely no excuse for those 2 fumbles in the UNC game. Ridley owned up to them later on and has since put a lot of focus on ball protection. It has made him a great player.
Hell, I was close to a player on the 2001-2005 teams, and had people rag on him too. Some of it was deserved criticism. He knew it too. I didn't go off on people for making valid points against him, but then again, Bomber77 has some tight bond that makes him feel Ridley is above any criticism.

He's good to my knowledge, but not sure on the details. Haven't really spoken to him in a while, but will check with my sis.

One, most of us weren't saying Ridley sucked. What was mostly said about Ridley has been and still is true.
He's a very good running with great vision, great cutting ability, and can break tackles. I don't recall people saying he didn't deserve touches, but the kid screwed up big time the UNC game nearly costing his team the game when it was in hand.
He improved and I am as proud as anyone to see how he played. That doesn't justify the stupidity and arrogance that bomber77 showed through his blatant bias.
Again, I've had people I know on the team too, and when they were criticized, if it was deserved, I didn't attack people for their speaking up about it.
