I always liked SEC football. It was a system where young men could compete, and get a great education at a fine SEC university. I'm not sure that model will survive intact. Lord knows we need leaders.

As far as Lane Kiffin coming to LSU - I would be willing to bet he's keeping one eye fixed on developments at Bama. We'll have to wait and see if those two LSU airplanes come back from Oxford empty or with Lane Kiffin and family.

I wish Ole Miss well. The LSU - Ole Miss football clashes is the stuff of legend.

IMO Bama would take him back in a heartbeat if he has success here. As far as NFL, remember that he was the youngest coach in NFL history (31 years old) when he was hired to coach the Raiders. So his failure there could very easily be attributed to lack of maturity...
