How critical is a win today? I'm thinking this game will show us what sort of chance we have to advance in the real tourney. If we give another lackluster performance today, then I say one and done in the big dance.

kentucky has more to gain than LSU has to lose

It's a big game IMO solely due to the Auburn/Vandy losses to close out the season..

As far as seedings go, a win is a win and helps us a lot more than a loss.

Win and we should be 6 or 7 seed at worst (possibly up to 5 if we win the whole shebang).

Lose and we could fall to 8 or even 9

even with a loss i can't see anything worse than a 7

even winning the tourney i think only may get us to a 5

i'd take straight up odds between 5-7

IMHO, I hate how people can use the terms "critical," or "must win" games. Every game should be looked at as a season changer.

I think a loss puts us at 8/9 seed. And that sucks.

I agree. It would be a big boost to the confidence of this team to have another win under their belt after losing two in a row.

Don't want to go into the tourney with three straight losses. On the other hand losing could give much needed R&R

8/9's are usually last team in type deals....like if UF somehow makes it in, or Ky

not so sure about that....what about 10, 11 and 12s? Guess we'll just have to see. Hopefully the Tigers win today so we guarantee a 5, 6 or 7.

last year georgia was a 14 and they won the tourney to get in

kentucky was a 11 (and it confised many how they even got in)..miss st was an 8 & arkansas was a 9

no way they put the outright SEC champion as a 8 or 9 IMO

Of course if LSU lost today it won't end the season but it would be good to see a few wins in the tourney both for seeding purposes and to get on a win streak going in. Of course, no one knows what will happen.

SEC not getting much respect this year, just saying. Also, they sometimes tend to put WAY too much credence on these conf tourneys....so one and done, following losses to Vandy and Auburn won't look good. I agree, win or lose, LSU deserves better than an 8 seed. I just won't be surprised if they hand us an 8 seed after a loss today.
