FWIW....because of butthurt LSU fans such as yourself, I know that there is a school in LA that goes by UL.

Now you have no one to blame but yourselves.

First of all the term "misspelling" is in accurate. It's more like a grammar correction.

Haven't you all seen a quote from a player like this: "Coach told me that if I can get a better handle on (the playbook), I would get more playing time."

When what the kid said in the interview was "Coach told me that if I get a better handle on it, I would get more playing time."

OH NOEZ, DA WRITER MAN HAZ CHANGE ALL MY LETTERZ!!!

It's simple. Context matters when converting audio into text and eliminating previous or post comments for length. If PM gives a 10 minute interview, some of his quotes HAVE to be edited so that a person reading a news paper understands the context of a few of his statements without the additional 9 minute transcript. That's what ULL did in this instance. Would 99% of readers known exactly what was going on and what he meant when he said ULL in stead of UL? Sure. Was it petty? You bet. But this is the reason and the logic (however thinly, veiled and pathetic that logic might be) in what the people at ULL did.

Second. All you LSU fans with your panties in a wad over this thing are turrible, turrible morans. And you should have yourselves checked.

I don't (and neither does any other sane person on this earth) believe for a second that you are outraged over the fact that a journalist had the audacity to change the spelling/wording/context of a quote from PM and that you're actually trying to protect the sanctity of his words by hammering the people who changed his intellectual property.

You are simply a bunch of ridiculously butthurt fans picking a fight over an epically retarded quote about a game you lost. Period.

Carry on.

Yeah, this part of it is understood, dipshit. I think that was the whole point of the thread - the writer didn't edit the quote correctly. I agree that it is all fricking retarded.

Whats retarded is do you think anyone would have even noticed this if LSU would have won? Just looks like some people are really reaching to help justify the fact that LSU lost and now they have to find something as stupid as this to hate on.

You'll have to excuse my intolerance for ignorance. I was not going to read 12 pages of stupidity. So I admit, I may have assumed a thing or two in my post. My bad yo.

And this was perhaps the most pertinent piece of my post so...

Oh and tulane retard... Tulane does not own the name Univeristy of Louisiana, the state does. The only university of Louisiana was a public institution until it was merged with LSU in 1860. That's how the state made this law...

I didn't say that Tulane owns the name you idiotic mongoloid. I said "the original owner", which Tulane is.

quote:

Located in New Orleans, Tulane traces its origins to the Medical College of Louisiana, the Deep South’s second-oldest medical school, which was founded in 1834. By 1847, the Medical College was part of the newly established public institution, the University of Louisiana.

Tulane emerged as a private university in 1884 when the public University of Louisiana was reorganized and named in honor of benefactor Paul Tulane, a wealthy merchant who donated more than $1 million in land, cash and securities “for the promotion and encouragement of intellectual, moral and industrial education.” A native of Princeton, N.J., Paul Tulane had made his fortune in New Orleans and his gift expressed his appreciation to this Southern city on the Mississippi River. In 1886, the H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College was established for women as part of the university. Newcomb-Tulane College today enrolls all undergraduates at the university.

I'll say it again... I agree this is all fricking retarded. To answer your question, yes, I think it would have still been noticed. The reality is ULL fans are overly concerned about the whole name thing - that is why there is at least 1 thread a day on raginpagin about someone adding an extra "L", or adding Lafayette to UL. ULL fans always bitch about their name, don't let them fool you. LSU just happened to have their arse handed to them on Tuesday night, and so there have been name threads ever since. Insecurity on both sides? Yes. It is all retarded.

My apologies to you. I redact the name calling. I can't say I blame anyone for not reading through 12 pages of ignorance.

Theres like 30 people on raginpagin and most of them are 50x worse than the worst ranter on tigerdroppings so what they say needs to be taken withh a grain of salt. I am a fan of boths schools but raginpagin is terrible.

Really? That is a profound statement. Why would fans of the ragin cajuns be overly concerned about their own school?

Nice job of conveniently leaving out half of what I said just to prove a point. This is what is called taking something out of context.
