LSU wasn't a top 30 program when Saban took over and you know why? Because they'd won 7 games in 2 years and had almost no talent or prospects of getting better.

So not even a top 30 program.
So after 3 years of saban we have 4 losses, 3losses,and 5 losses. Where are we ranked as a program now?

I'm telling you man he's extra detached from reality tday. And you know how all this started? He changed the subject because he couldn't answer me when I asked why his hero couldn't get a job and how come one of the top 5 college football coaches didn't have Texas Oregon the NFL or any college teams trying to hire him.

This has nothing to do with you being football ignorant and saying 1 top 5 finish makes you a top 5 program.

After 02 we are top 10-15 because 01 sec champs and were on our way to at least defending in atlanta before the rash of injuries in 02.

1 top 1 finish idiot not top 5 top 1 and 1 too 6 that's top 5 idc how you want to deny it finishing as national champs no1 and sec champs no6 overall avg that out and you get 3/4 that's top 5!!!!

You don't look 3 years into the past to judge were a program is and is headed you judge the recent past with the group they have and the group coming in. You don't judge 2004 by what 1999 did idiot. Hey clemsons not a top 5 program because 7 years ago they weren't top 5 and they only have 2 top 5 finishes. Michigan isn't a top 10 program because they only have 2 top 10 finishes in the past 7 years.

You need to learn the difference between what is and POTENTIALLY what is.
Yeah we all know football teams always play to their talent and they always achieve their predicted goals. The only thing you can jusdge a program by is WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. Not what they are perceived to be in the future.
And again, i posted 5 programs with better years than lsu. I already proved you wrong.
Their is a difference between where a program isn which is what we are talking about and what their potential is. Was lsu potentially a top 5 program? Sure. Were they when nick saban left? No.

But we reached our goals before 04 we won 2 sec titles and a national title and had 2 top 5 classes in tow. I'm judging the 04 state of the program by the present you're judging 04 by 1999 the past.

We won 33 games from 05-07 miles recruited about 10% of the players who saw action those years meaning they were here in 04 so from 01 to 07 how many games did we win? Yea top 5 program. What's sad is Saban would've won more from 05-07 and you honestly don't believe that lmfao.

None of the Miles apologists (probably 60% of the board up until the end of last year) could answer this for the last 7 years. It was discussed regularly, but nobody ever had a rational answer--even people I respect who, on the OT would carry on about why the free market dictates what survives and fails.
Nobody wants to buy Les Miles because he's not very good.

no, but mismanagement in clutch situations and delay of games/unnecessary timeouts happened with alarming regularity.
