It could be a distraction (however small). LSU taking home the Crystal will include the AP and a couple of days wait is not going to hurt anyone's feelings

The reason i posed the question is because the AP took themselves out of the BCS formula, therefore not recognizing the BCS champ game as valid. So one would think they would crown their champion after the Final games of the regular season. just food for thought, the outcome of the BCS game shouldnt change the AP vote if in fact they are TOTALLY against the BCS system. I for one dont recognize the AP as valid bc the schools agreed to the crystal ball system and if we lose to bama, they are the national champions and im OK with that.
