It's been broken down 40 times on here, and Guilbeau and others have written about, even ESPN writers. It's $14 million.

Well, it probably needs to get broken down a 41st time, then. Because unless Miles' contract got a rollover that nobody will admit to, there's only a small chance that his total buyout would reach even half that number.

The $14 million number keeps getting reported because 99% of the sportwriters on this earth are too lazy to even attempt to read Miles' contract, much less actually read it.

When u disrepect my coach on an LSU board to the point u childishly use his name in your effort to belittle the man, u get what u give.

An LSU fan, that is what u claim to be, who comes on a board to talk trash about the LSU coach should, at lease, know where his team, if LSU is your team, was ranked in just the past yr.

U said it was a mistake. Ok, it was a mistake. We all make them. Even QB's, RB's, and coaches.

find a post where i said this, or anything like it...
I edited your post (I thought pretty obviously) to point ou that saban gets a pass 4 years later for a subpar year because of Dinardo ( though we were one year away from "insane depth") but miles inherets awful oline talent from saban and all a sudden that excuse is no good.

did he screw your wife or something... you've sure got a lot of pent up anger over Saban...
I've got no problem with saban and I'm not Edwin Edwards so no he did no frick my wife. it is funny that (according to some) nothing bad that happened while he was here right up to and including the day he left was his fault. poor guy was still cleaning up Dinardos mess.

50th would be much improved, but still not good enough...
holy. shite. I don't know how to state this any more plainly. I expect us to have a very good offensive line this year.

i am an LSU fan.. been one all my life... im just not a Less Miles fan, didn't like the hire when it happened and still don't like it...

its an internet board tigger, and your coach has done a bad job the last two years.... and he's paid nearly $4 mil a year.. it comes with the territory...

yeah, b/c after the bowl game last year, i was real concerned with where we ended up in the polls.. if we weren't #1, then it really doesn't matter now does it.....

we can agree on this. some just make more than others...

some may have said that, i didn't.. 4 years into it, its your program... Saban's then Less' now....

hope you're right...

FWIW I thought the QB play had alot to do with the line play last year.. his drops were to deep and he rarely stepped up into the pocket and, with subpar qb play the defenses committed more to stopping the run... Not saying the line wasn't bad, just saying there were other factors... but thats been hashed over to much too...

You know the man's name. Be an adult and use it properly or be a jerk and don't.

Yeah,I can see how putting up the best 5 yr coaching record in our history would cause u to be upset with the hire and still be pissed.

your coach has done a bad job the last two years.
.

A 9-3 regular yr earning the best SEC bowl not in the BCS and a #17 ranking, that's 17 and not 20+, is a bad job? U don't have much respect for the SEC or college football do u?

if we weren't #1, then it really doesn't matter now does it.....

U r clueless if u believe that crap and judging from this post of yours, clueless sums u up pretty well.

yeah, b/c you knew what his 5 year record would be when we hired him right??? he was a bad hire based on his record then.. we settled for chopped steak when we could have had filet mignon... and yes i still think that we could have made a better hire then...

8-8 in those two years i mentioned.. don't know much about numbers do you?? or is 8-8 worth 3.75 mil a year to you???

if anything but #1 matters "in the final polls" tell me without looking it up, who was # 17 in 2008?? it really doesn't matter does it??? and you talk about clueless?? pot meet kettle....

It matters to most sane people whether their team was in the top 5 or top 10 or top 15 or top 20. It sure matters to a coach or AD at contract time where or if teams were ranked. Look at the chatter here about where NS had LSU teams ranked. It matters when u want to determine elite status. So yes, rankings besides #1 matters and I can't really believe u want to debate the issue.

8-8 in those two years i mentioned

Yes, the always popular, for LSU bashing fans, 8-8 old stand by.

It doesn't matter to u and other LSU football program bashers that LSU jumped in the SEC from 7th place to 3rd place or nationally from no ranking to 17th, it only matters that u push your anti agenda.

Go ahead. Beat on your favorite school.
