Can the same be said about our defense that is said about JL.?

Can the same "what" be said? I'm guessing that you're referring to comments that J.L. is done, it's over, he'll never this or that, etc.

Here is the irony of the Lee v. Jefferson situation. Last year when Lee struggled and Jefferson didn't play, we all figured that the coaches felt they had NO OPTION, i.e. Jefferson didn't know the plays.

Conversely, this year, Lee has 8 starts under his belt. Regardless, of anything else... he knows the plays. Which means.... we have an option. Not to mention that Shep. and Garret are probably hitting the playbooks and getting reps. that Jefferson didn't get.

So, our expectations of Jefferson are much higher... but the leash is much shorter. If you don't have competition at every position, every practice, game to game, eventually it will bite you on the arse.

And, here's the irony. IF, J.J. starts struggling, you can look for J.L. - not in game 8, but much sooner, if not within games off the bat.

I don't like any 2 QB split, and that's not what I'm saying....but while last year sucked.... I think we're good at the QB position, and way, way under the radar.
