I member...ish. Back then, my older brother got most of the good games, but I remember seeing games against Mississippi State, Kentucky, ect back in the late 90s and early 2000s.
I had forgotten what untelivised games were like until I went back to my old high school to watch a game a few years back. The game flows beautifully. The collegiate and professional games have been so corporatized, so commercialized, and bastardized by in-game ads, tv timeouts, social justive warrioring, political correctness, and bad rule changes that it's not the same sport anymore. It is a shadow of its former glory. The experience is now hollow and shallow, and as a result, so are many of the fans. That's why they get bored and leave early. What they have built up in their minds from years of the real thing doesn't match what they're seeing, but no one remembers when it changed because it was so incremental.
The fans have lost the game they loved. Their unconcious mind has realized it, but their concious mind has not. Either the game will need to change or their fandome will need to change in order to reconcile the cognitive dissodence.
Either the game must cease leaving them or they will leave the game completely.

SEC Championship game against UGA. Justin Vincent BEAST!!!! Dwayne Bowe clutch catches! Sat in UGA student section, first quarter they let us have it pretty good. Rest of the game we gave it back two fold! Awesome time!
