how many balls way off the mark to open receivers?

Just the play in which he could have ran for the 1st but instead stopped and tried to loft the ball and it went out of bounds was grounds to bench him for a least a couple of series.

Lee said it himself, the WR's were open all night and he did a poor job of getting them the ball.

1 good pass for every 5 bad ones does not a good QB make.

yeah... I agree. The loss was probably only about 85% his fault. 10% to the receivers who get lit up on his piss poor passes, and 5% spread to a variety of other areas.

70% Lee
15% Coaches
5% RP
5% fans
5% WR drops

costly, but the game should have been won anyway. I don't think sometimes they expect to get good balls thrown to them.

Lee was 13 for 34 (38%) with 4 interceptions (including a pick 6) as well as 1 TD. His efficiency was 69.13, which is 20 points lower than his previous worst.

He had a bad game!

He may have potential, but he certainly didn't put on a good show in this game. He had happy feet, he panicked under pressure, he telegraphed many of his passes (although possibly less so than previously) and made a good bit of crappy throws (even when he had men open and little pressure).

Yes a few passes were dropped (notably the long bomb down the sideline), but far more passes were poorly thrown.

If Lee doesn't improve and Jefferson cannot fill the void, we will likely lose another game this season.

Given the talent we have elsewhere, it is heartbreaking to see this. And, don't get me wrong, I'm not putting the blame on Lee. If he is doing his best, then thats all we can ask for as fans. However it is still difficult to watch a team with so much potential and desire lose a game like we did Saturday. I believe we were the better team and played like the better team.

Just my 2 cents. Geaux Tigers!

the drops cost us badly, unfortunately drops happen, and they would have been negated had Lee been able to consistently throw the ball better

I get what your saying though, this loss is not all Lee.

and for the record, JPW was a horrible qb for almost his entire career and this has been his only good year, so DONT be so quick to say Lee is a horrible qb and will never be good

its stupid to continue to harp on a drop pass when the QB throws 4INT(1 pick6) for the night.

here are real concrete numbers in Lee's last 2 games.
21/54 38% 280yds 2td/5int(2 pick6)

this is in games in which LSU rb's blows it up for 200+yds and LSU getting great pass protection.

qb's can throw 17 straight completions and then a horrible int...as well as they can throw 17 straight terrible passes and then one gem

when that gem is dropped, it hurts....BAD!

This is his last challenge of the year, find a way to get the ball in this formation and end the play with the other team scoring a td. He can do this by getting the ball behind the line and throwing yet another pick six (traditional and more probable) or catching a pass and fumbling and defender takes it to the house. (more interesting approach)

ON the play where Lee had an open field and chose not to not run for first but lob the ball out of bounds, I'll bet he was told by the coaches to not even think about running the ball. He probably was doing exactly what they told him. They have not managed this QB situation well. They could have run at least a few series with Lee on the bench even at the risk of him losing a tad more confidence. It's not as if he has not seen the bench before in previous games.

the problem here is you choosing to ignore lee's piss poor play and the fact that it hurts this team much more than dropped passes, more than other people igonring the dropped passes

how many open receivers did brandon lafell miss last night?

how many interceptions did chris mitchell throw?

how many times did demetrius byrd throw the ball away instead of running 3 yards for a first down?

how many points did terrance toliver give the other team directly?

all of those questions are equally as interesting as the one you started this thread with.
