How is Sarah Finnegan NOT in the Olympics?

Was she too young to try out the last Summer Olympics???

She gave up competing elite gymnastics years ago. She had injuries after 2012.
Your body only last so long as an elite gymnast. Its a brutal training regimen. She made the alternate 2012 team for the US olympic team.

I honestly have no idea, how does the standard of college gymnastics compare to Olympic gymnastics? Based on what you said it seems like there must be a fairly wide gap if an elite college gymnast essentially already retired from it.

You can't compare because its dramatically harder!
You are judged harder, routines are longer, you do much more difficult skills.
The training regimen to be able to produce elite level routines requires a lot more time and pounding on the body.
Look at this beam routine from Finnegan in 2012

How is she not In the Olympics? The same reason they all aren't in the Olympics. She has a boyfriend.
