I feel like y’all are giving SEC officiating to much credit. I don’t think the ejection has anything to do with Bama, I just think the SEC’s officiating is as incompetent as we saw last night.

I'm sure the tv network televising the nationally televised game wants the best players on the field.

Do you think tv networks enjoy having people turning games off after one quarter of another Bama blowout?

You're missing the point. The SEC will do whatever it takes to ensure that an SEC team is in the playoffs. There is too much money at stake to risk being honest. Add to that that many of them favor Alabama anyway.

Honestly, if we go back enough years to when LSU was equal to BAMA, we got that benefit a few times. Make sure that 2 teams got in. Now, we're just the biggest consistent threat, and a little insurance against us is what we get.

This is 100% correct for the initial call. I am skeptical of the review confirmation of the call. That is an SEC official that had time to understand the magnitude of the call and the ramifications.

Simple question. Did the Bama dude punching the Tennessee player multiple times get suspended? Didn't think so.

If you really believe Bama doesn’t get every call and mulligan possible you either do not watch SEC football or you can’t see reality.

I think that the interest in Bama has been fabricated by allowing them to flout the rules from top to bottom. Anyone who has been paying attention can see that they get some curiously timed calls, favorable schedule e.g. UT being a permanent opponent. The obvious no call on the hit on the UT QB yesterday. They have had at least two mulligans to win the national title. Go down the list...

It is clear that the playoff ratings would suffer enormously without the Gumps in it.

It’s the fact that last week a certain teams player jumps on top of an opposing player & swings on him 3 times & is not ejected. Last night, around the same time a VERY questionable targeting cal & ejection was made against another teams player, that other team has a player committing a “textbook” launch, leading with the helmet, targeting play & it is completely ignored by the officials. So I ask you, How is it in the SEC’s best interest to NOT suspend marquee players, from certain teams, before marquee games?

I disagree.
Besides Bama fans and tv network talking heads, people are tired of Bama winnnijg or playing for the NC every year. Having some new and different teams would generate more national interest in my opinion.

White's penalty was not flagrant and also questionable. Without clearcut evidence of a targeting infraction, he should have been given the benefit of the doubt.
I can't address the other situation you brought up because I didn't see the play.
