How does Bama move to number one after giving up:

- 31 points
- 476 yards

All to a terrible, one-dimensional Ole Miss team playing its backup QB2 who can’t throw?

If LSU dropped after beating Vandy, Bama should drop after beating that sad Ole Miss team.

Bama left their starters in far longer against OM than LSU did Vandy, presumably just to pad stats. Sad.

They should drop to #3 but they won't drop. They are media favorite after 44-16 over a Bama team that everyone hates. We could be the media favorite but we're LSU. Everyone hates LSU. So frick them I say.

Anyways, we beating that arse in November!

Why? Justify this instead of just saying it.

Because the team that would jump them is Bama, and Bama hasn’t played any decent competition....
Since last year when Clemson whipped the piss out of them.

I would also like you to answer my question:
If the AP poll came out today for the first time this year, do you think Clemson would be #1? Think about that.

That’s recency bias.
To answer it though...yes. Again, Bama is the only other team in contention, and Clemson > Bama until proven otherwise.

This is ridiculous.

I know it may not seem like it now but LSU will have a tough game this season vs a lesser talented team. If you wouldn't want the same logic applied in that instance then forget about this.

Not far defending champions w/ 20 game win streak. Even with that schedule they could lose one and may get in. But if the committee holds true and only looks at this years schedule they would be out if teams like AU LSU UF UGA and even Bama lose one but don’t win sec. the Ducks and or UW would
Need to be conf champs with one loss to have a shot imo.
