we need someone who can take it to the house at RB because our line will not open consistent holes to drive it down the field 5 yards at a time and jefferson takes too many sacks which are drive killers.

Need to hit some big plays this year.

that he hasn't been impressive in practice
Reports were that he was timid in practice last year.....Seen nothing but positives this year and that he is closing the gap between himself and Ridley/Murphey.

hopefully him and Ridley will become an effective 1-2 punch much like Ingram/Richardson is for Bama.

Holy shite, I know TR was a state powerlifter in Fla, but I think Ford matches up with the strength in the weight room. I havent seen that translate to the field yet, But from practice reports it very well should

Murphy will be on the mend for a lil while, knee injuries are tough things to bounce back from.

With the oline LSU will have this season, it doesn't matter who is in the backfield. There will not be much production, on the ground, coming from any of the rbs.

Is there any point to your posts. Or just random negative unfounded thoughts that just flow from your fingertips?

Ford sucks, OL sucks.

Must be a blast at parties

Richardson is the best most physically talented runner in the nation IMO. If he wasn't splitting wiht Ingram he would be super hyped. Dude is tremendously hard to tackle.

Problem is Ford doesn't have the oline that TR has. Put TR in a LSU uniform and doesn't do any better than anyone else LSU has.

He has been practicing at full speed other than contact.....Ridley hurt his knee last spring and played in games the same year....Murphey will have more time than Ridley did.

not the same type of knee injury, that is why Ridley bounced back so fast. I'm tellin you, he can being going full speed in practice and all that, but once he gets in games you'll see a difference til he gets back to normal.

practice is practice.

Seriously, not being an arse, just out of curiosity, why is his height (5'10) so impressive to you to bench 450? I'm not saying that 450 is not very impressive. My best friend walked on at Ole Miss in 2000 at 5'10 225 and could bench 430. Stocky frames like that are ideal for big bench press numbers...big chests and short arms (usually). Typically the strongest guys on the team are that size. The big 6'6 300lb lineman have much longer arms and are less explosive

So your friends strength is just normal for his size?

nah, I agree with him, short, powerfully built guys are superstrong, i played HS ball and ran into a guy built like that on the downfield kickoff pursuit, I bounced off him like a fly.

I'm not surprised Trindon threw up 225 10 times, he is short, but powerfully built.

Trent is faster and had a great year last year as the 2nd AL RB.

I dont disagree....but it is still very strong.LSU is full of great 5'10" stocky athletes, very few are that strong. And basically none as Redshirt Freshmen.

Congrats on the bouncing off, the rant has quite a large percentage of guys that undoubtedly flew under the radar to every college recruiter.

Nope. Not my point. I just didn't get the point of it being so incredible that he benches 450 at a height of 5'10. If he was 4'6 or 7'4, I would find his height relevant but 5'10 is an ideal height for being really strong.... Also, if Ford is as good as some people want to believe, I don't think he would be having a hard time passing Ridley and Murphy on the depth chart. I love Ridley and Murphy but its not like we expect either of these guys to be dominating next year. Hope they do, but its doubtful.

I don't spend a lot of time on the rant because it is the rant, and I flew under no ones radar because basketball was my forte, and I played at TTech in the late '80's, but I'm not into bragging.

I agree plus Ill bet alot of this praise comes from the same people that defended Chad Jones' reps at the combine as unimportant.

I love Ridley

He will be the man this year. Huge numbers for Steven this year!
