Like the monkey who climbed the flagpole not to see farther but to show his arse.
Dinardo quit coaching and became an administrator and turned his team over to his coordinators. Sam thin Stovall did...never works...

I grew up with him so I lived him. His teams just seemed to be able to get it done when they needed it. Plus tiger stadium was.............LOUD EVERY SINGLE GAME.
It was loud every game because they hadn't priced out the true fans. Tiger Stadium is a shell of it's former self, but that is the price of big time college football, so I am good with it.

The delusion is strong here. DiNardo was not good for the program overall. He had some success but was Not able to sustain it. Any gains made in recruiting Louisiana kids were going away, and would have been gone had he stayed, or with any coach who continued with the losing ways of LSU football in the 90s.
Saban was the difference maker, like it or not!

Just curious, but tell me your feelings about coach miles. Trying to figure out who are "there's nick saban then everyone else" guys.....

Yeah, he almost erased everything he brought to LSU at first with his last two years. That's definitely true. However, because he was able to come in and win immediately following the darkest era ever of LSU football (which we thought was a miracle at the time), he showed us that it could be done and it didn't take divine intervention. He showed us a little of what could be...Saban made it happen though and brought LSU to the top.

That's a fair assessment. I agree.
