They'd be like they used to be, if an in state player wasn't offered by LSU the next level was Tulane, if not there then any one of the other teams in the state.

Would hv been interesting becuz these kids a lot of them grew up playing against each other; so you have an extra incentive to play even harder. Probably a good thing they don’t play against each other in some aspects.

I dont think that is true at all

I am pretty sure they left the SEC because they didnt want to put as much focus on athletics. Tulane voluntarily cut a decent amount of their athletic scholarships during the 1950s becaue of this. By the time the 1960s came along, they had pulled even more schloarships and money away from athletics, and playing in the SEC didnt make sense


Make fun of Tulane all you want, but they actually took a stand against college sports becoming only about the athlete and not about the student athlete

Tulane really, they sucked in the SEC & got out like Ga.Tech! Got tired of getting their arse kicked/!!!
