As I recall we consistenlt lost 1 to 2 games more than we should have even under Saban.

True, but most teams lose more games than they "should". But I know what you mean. 2006 to me was the most disappointing year, and thats after a Sugar Bowl win.

That being said, the Ole Miss debacle last year was unexcusable, and he may not be the right coach for LSU.

I was more dismayed at how Ole Miss dominated LSU that entire game than at how it ended.

Teams have ups and downs. USC was going to be an afterthought this year, Ohio State has become a national punch line, even though they dominate the Big 10 on a regular basis. Perception is just that, perception. If you win your games in the SEC, everything will work itself out.

A combination of bad defense, bad offense, domination by two conference rivals, and a mediocre conference record.

On the plus side, LSU's problems can be fixed with improved OL play (which I think we'll get) and getting the QB to get rid of the ball (dunno if this will happen).

Ole Miss - you mean that team in Oxford that whipped us the past 2 football seasons?

Last time I checked, losing by less than 7 is not getting "whipped"

LSU shouldnt lose to Ole Miss at all. But 2008 was a whipping and 2009 was a dominant win despite the close score. LSU was outplayed the entire game and deserved to lose.

Actually, it was three games and a tie-breaker. Not thin at all.

An "Afterthought"???

You got to be kidding me!

Football finished up 1/1. We have gone though all basketball and 90% of baseball since 1/1, but football threads outnumber both basketball and baseball threads 20 to 1 without having an original thought, but for the Spring scrimmage, expressed in over 2 months and you think football has become an "Afterthought"??

Have you been on an extended vacation or in a coma for the last 2 month?
