How are you supposed to be successful with no bat speed or speed on the base paths?

Yorke and Pearson are as slow as you can be. Milam is a great fielder but pretty damn slow on the base paths, Dardar is average speed, caraway is slow, Simpson is below average speed. Serna is below average speed. I mean was Jay even thinking putting this team together?
