This is a retarded subject brought upon by the idiot LSU fans. So let me shine a little light on the subject.

The projected high for saturday is 93 degrees. By 4 P.M. It may be down to 91. However, this forecast is not the forecast for what it will be like in a small area filled with 92,000 people that is enclosed by metal and concrete. It's going to be hot as balls in Tiger stadium. Possibly the most miserable experience in a long time in TS, regardless of the game.

Will this be the reason that LSU wins?

NO, both teams are playing in it idiots. I know LSU trains here, but that doesn't make them impervious to heat.

The reason LSU is going to win is that they are a vastly more talented team. We graduate more talent in every single recruiting class than they have on their whole team. The only way we can lose this game is if we do something incredibly stupid.

SOrry about bashing the appy state fans, I think you guys have a good team, and are really good sports on here, but to think that it's logical that you are going to walk into tiger stadium and snap a 5 year winning streak is just ludicrous.

"Louisiana Summer about>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>much hotter than michigan summer(a little thing called humidity)

Plus, who's Armanti gona throw it to when he can't run against the monster d line? Dexter Jackson is gone."

Dexter Jackson caught about 3 passes for us last year and dropped a punt that cost us the Wofford game. He wont be missed near as much as his 2nd round draft status says

1,948 passing yards
1,588 rushing yards
38 touchdowns (21 rushing, 17 passing)
Missed 4.5 games and did not rank among the NCAA’s official statistical leaders because he fell one game shy of the minimum standard of playing in 75 percent of team’s games ... if he did qualify for the official national rankings, he would have finished fifth in total offense (321.5 ypg), fifth in points responsible for (20.8 ppg), sixth in rushing (144.4 ypg) and seventh in passing efficiency (159.34)

The official UM site shows the climate at UM vs ASU on 9/1/07 last year as:

Temperature: Mid 70s Wind: N 10-15 Weather: Clear & Sunny

I can imagine if ASU had their "druthers" they'd prefer that to what it's going to be like in Red Stick on 8/30/08.

I'll second the other poster. 93 degrees in Tiger Stadium is like a steam bath. Our player practice in it every day and theirs don't. That being said, depth will be the only issue.

just for the record:

quote:

Since it is a 4 o'clock start time then the heat will be decreasing toward the 80's before the first quarter ends.

around 5pm is the absolute hottest time of the day b/c it's been heating the earth for several hours...just as 7am is the coolest time of the day b/c the sun has been down the longest

also, to the idiot who said south carolina is hotter than baton rouge

but it won't make a huge difference of one team over the other.

The heat alone won't make a big difference, but by the time the 4th quarter rolls around our depth coupled with the heat/humidity will definitely make a significant difference. We frequently wear out SEC teams in the 4th quarter, and they are as deep and used to the weather.

Hey pole smoker - straight from weather.com. Let's compare average high in Columbia, SC to Bathroom Rouge, beginning 8/1 and going weekly:

Date Columbia Baton Rouge
8/1 95 92
8/8 94 92
8/15 93 92
8/22 93 91
8/29 92 91

Now, we all know that the difference between 95 and 92 is minimal, but we also all know who the idiot is now and it is LSUzealot.

No disrespect to the intelligent LSU fans, but I think I just kicked the zealot's arse. Zealot, get your pick-up off the blocks in your front yard and come get your girlfriend. She's boring me again.
