If he wasn't a player on LSU, then everyone here would hate him and call him selfish, look at me, arrogant, etc

Make that two.

I don't understand why he can't let his play do the talking. He's going to have that big bullseye on his back now that half the secondary is gone. Hope he's ready to back up his legendary status.

That just goes to make you appreciate the guys who do it that way much more.. Not everyone can be that guy..

He's backed it up and will continue to do so. He reminds me a lot of how dominating eric berry was so early on.

And of course fans will use anything they can to hate on another player of an opposing team.. but confident and cocky players don't really bother me. It is nice to have those guys who are quiet but it also brings a whole other element of confidence when you got a guy like TM7.

Again he's never gone over board in any of his trash talking. He is still NOT a bad guy. Most of the stuff he is saying is me against the whole world.. and maybe if you came up in his shoes you'd understand a little more where it comes from.. but sorry not everyone can be shy or quiet about it.

quote:

“I am America. I am the part you won't recognize. But get used to me. Black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own; get used to me.”

He's a college kid having an absolute ball of a time. He's making something of his life and enjoying a little trash talk along the way. I like his passion.

Nothing he has said to opposing players is out of line. And everything else he says on his own is pure fuel to his fire about proving himself in this world.

He is a treat to watch and is surely no bore.

It is kind of funny how most people love them some Ali, but want to hate on TM7 for enjoying himself. If Tyrann ever said anything out of line I could understand.. but he hasn't.. and even Ali went way out of bounds of some of the things he said.. but no one seems to care or let that affect their opinion of him. Why did Ali have to constantly proclaim he was the greatest? Why couldn't he just wait and let his boxing prove it?.. Because he was himself. frick being anything other than you. People don't like it.. frick them.

If people just read the things he's saying.. Maybe just maybe they'd understand.. Instead of just blindly judging the man. Tell me this.. Has he ever even cursed in anything he's said?

Self driven but y'all call it Cocky

S/0 to my hood! I made the greatest escape

quote:

i was really in them street wars, wanna see my battle scars

quote:

World: this is honesty moment , I had to ball my way to a fortune because I seriously had no other route!

quote:

WORK.WORK.WORK

and lastly I will leave with this

quote:

I don't know bout y'all but I had to turn my dream into reality, I had to view myself as greater than what I actually see in myself

- Tyrann

There is no reason to hate on the man. Don't you see. He has reasons for what he does.. but nothing is ever truly personal. This is his motivation to stay on track. No not all guys need motivation or have to go about this way.. he does. It keeps him on the right path. Just enjoy the show.

I wish an Alabama player would post this exact same stuff just to watch LSU fans melt down about it on the SEC Rant

And I wish you'd leave your blind hate and actually look at the message and meaning to what he does.

Talking the way Tyrann does is what keeps him accountable. His word means everything and is his means to prove himself.. To himself first and foremost. He works hard to have gotten to where he is and this is means to stay straight. He is not trashy at all in his approach.

If you want to hate on a guy who does all he can do to stay straight then by all means hate.. but at least he isn't some lazy bum talking BS trash. He's clean and very motivational about it.

If Alabama has a talented player who talks clean trash and self motivation.. then by all means go for it.

I tell you what.. the blind TM hate is actually making me become one of his biggest fans as well.. because I know the man actually stands for something good.

Believe it or not The man is gracious and appreciative for all his blessings. Heck I challenge to actually read and digest the stuff he is saying.. He's actually quite a positive role model. Guys that come from harsh backgrounds can actually relate to what he is saying and can understand where he's coming from and be like well hey that can be me. He is a constant reminder to a living testimony. Yeah, I think today I just became the biggest TM7 fan. I love when people blindly hate on a man who stands for good. That fuels my passion.

He seeks attention and he receives it, he had what he wants and does it for show a good bit.

Also, if you define "hate" by stating the obvious then you must define many things by "hate". Any player on another team, particularly and LSU rival, putting this type of stuff up on social networking sites the board reacts negatively. If h "needs" to do this to motivate himself and keep himself accountable then I find it funny actually and not because of what he tweets.

I respect Tyrann as a player and I'm glad he brought those talents to B.R. We have certainly benefitted from them.

However, I have little patience for all the B.S. bragging and trash talking. He's as over the top on the field with it as he is on Twitter. Les has reportedly talked to him about the tweeting but I guess we now see how much effect that's had.

I understand the time we're in and I'm a generation apart from these kids, and they just laugh at the notion of doing your talking on the field. But even by today's painfully lax sportsmanship standards, I think the HB is taking it too far.

Is there anyone he respects enough that can talk him down a bit. Or has his fame taken him past that point.

As long as he keeps backing up his talk I dont have a problem with it.

Oh and I think his twitter feed just made it on to sportcenter they just said something about tm7 being confident about next year coming up soon

That's always, and always will be, the stock rationalization for this type of look at me stuff. At least when it's a Tiger.

As many have said in this thread, if this were being said by a Gump or another rival who also "backed it up" it would very certainly would be a problem.

But I understand. We're all hypocrites. Myself included.

It just saddens me to see the erosion of sportsmanship get worse each year and it be rationalized to the point of the hope of it returning is gone.
