and he came at a time where LSU was needing WRs bad. LSU didn't have anybody close to his skillset on the team. LSU had a bunch of 6'3+ 200+ lb guys that were more athlete than receiver. Netherly was the highest rated WR we got that year (same year as Jefferson). Netherly rarely saw the field as a WR for LSU.

Bama boy went there in the same class loaded with WRs with his height, skillset, and talent level. All were between 6-0 and 6-1, 165-175lbs, speedy/agility types, and all in the top 75 overall recruits.
