Around 1982 in bama. We made bear Bryant quit
We did beat stuffing out of them that day.

That's the game I was at. It was incredible. They didn't score a first down the entire first half. Their fans didn't know what to do. It was awesome. After the game the LSU fans stayed in the stands rocking out with the band until the players showered and came back out in their street clothes.

Not only did the Bear retire, he died several months later.

Probably the best away game I have ever attended.

It took our greatest team ever to win by 5 pts with the game on the line at the end, with a hobbled Tua. Yea we beat the stuffing out of them.

Everyone saw that LSU was the best in the country and it wasn’t even close.

Bama scored on two fluke plays and a punt return. LSU was clearly the better team. Even Gary Danielson knew it.

I’m sorry that hurts your feelings.

And also scored on a 71yd punt return where Waddle was turned around and went different direction than return set-up, Stingley was being talked to and quick snap , wasn’t even looking when Smith went by, LSU in man with under 2 minutes left when scored 2nd bomb, and I’m sooo sick of hearing about hobbled Tua(good person, good QB) but the D didn’t let him have second to heal up in that game. LSU could’ve scored 2 more times also.

Which is why it’s a slight bummer that:

I've watched us play Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson every couple of days and we always win.
Covid-19 couldn't have happened at a better time for LSU fans.
Can you imagine being a fan of one of those teams, forced to stay inside, and have to see that over and over. I'm surprised those fans aren't rioting from depression.
Think how much talk there will be a few weeks before the season starts.

I know it was for me.

Last year's Fiesta Bowl was a close second.

1982 was a beat down like no other. Even though it was a ten point victory i would say no Bear Bryant team, or Saban team was mauled like 1982.
